Will be making his favorite food for dinner. I don’t want any sodappal story on his birthday. I am not baking any cake today, going to outsource from store. Vaandu: Ma you know what’s your Xmas gift? The bounce place party is on Saturday.įriends who follow me in twitter might have seen this.

  • He likes to jump a lot and we are going to celebrate his birthday in the same bounce place like last year.
  • (Just so you know our plans change every month.)

As of today, he wants to become a teacher when he grows up.

Sometimes I feel M and Vaandu loves car more than me. He is very passionate about cars, loves to learn about the car, their make and other details.(Do I need to say like M?).He is an ardent fan of curious George and Caillou, now trying to become a fan of Sid the Science Kid.He is our sous chef and our helper (?) She blogs at Chitra Ammas Kitchen, to preserve South Indian Vegetarian cooking styles and hopes they will make interesting reading for current as well as.(Thanks to Karadi Tales and Lord Ganesha cartoon) He is still a blanky boy who lives in his imaginary world where Goddess Sita and Mooshaka (Lord Ganesha’s vaahanam (deity’s mount)) are his friends. So what to say about him? As he is turning six, I am just posting some six random points about him. (If I explain the details, this will become a sentimental cum comedy post) I need to let go of these habits and grow up. He is growing fast, but I am not growing as a mom as fast as him. I have never let him stay without me for more than 10 hrs. Should I call him dude? Nahhh, he will be always our little bundle of joy. (To be precise, exactly at 00:03 AM and that’s the reason behind the scheduled time ) He is not a little fella anymore. A shame, as I would like to patronize more veg restaurants in Northern Virginia. It’s a Sixer!!! Our little vaandu turns six today. In any case, until Amma's reverts to normal cutlery (other than plastic!) and replaces the styrofoam serving platters and cups with ceramic or metal (similar to what most modest restaurants in India use!), I doubt if my friend and I will be returning to Amma's. More pictures, please, together with verbal descriptions. Finally, I've eaten at many Indian restaurants in the US and elsewhere, and have traveled on extended visits to India four times - but I found the menu difficult to figure out. For carry-out orders, fine: But not for those eating in your restaurant. On July 1, 2015, New York City became the largest city in America to attempt to prohibit the sale, possession and distribution of single-use polystyrene foam" Ama's is a vegetarian restaurant - WHY would you serve your food on single use styrofoam, which is a potential carcinogen? It makes no sense. The American National Bureau of Standards Center for Fire Research found 57 chemical by-products released during the combustion of expanded polystyrene foam. Here's a quotation from Wikipedia which gives an idea of the harm that it causes to the environment and peoples' health - the risk increases when styrofoam touches hot food or liquid: "The EPA and International Agency for Research on Cancer consider styrene a possible human carcinogen. Please: We're in the 21st century now: Styrofoam is wasteful, tacky and (more importantly) dangerous. I think I ended up dumping about half of the food into the trash - and could barely fit the contents in, there was so much styrofoam in the trash bin! I haven't encountered so much styrofoam in many, many years.

My friend and I ate less, it actually made the food unappetizing.
